The Next Level of Clean: 20-Micron Cartridge Filter Assembly for Bottom Feeder & Shrimp

Pool professionals know there’s a difference between picking up debris and delivering a pool that looks truly finished.

The Bottom Feeder® and Shrimp® vacuum systems have built their reputation on power and efficiency. Leaves, acorns, and heavy debris are handled with ease. But fine silt, dust, pollen, and dead algae are a different challenge altogether. Those particles often pass right through standard mesh bags, leaving behind a lingering cloud—even after a thorough vacuum.

That feedback was clear.
So we built a solution.

We’re introducing the new patent-pending 20-Micron Cartridge Filter Assembly, engineered specifically for Bottom Feeder and Shrimp professional vacuum systems.

Why 20 Microns Matters

Standard debris bags are designed for flow and large debris—and they do that job well. Fine particulate cleanup, however, requires a different approach.

This cartridge assembly filters down to 20 microns, capturing the material that’s often invisible to the eye but very visible once it’s stirred up in a pool:

  • Fine dust and desert silt

  • Pollen

  • Dead algae residue

  • The haze that keeps a pool from looking finished

For perspective, a grain of table salt measures roughly 100 microns. At 20 microns, you’re capturing particles that would normally stay suspended in the water—or end up right back in the pool.

Vacuuming and Filtering at the Same Time

With this assembly installed, your Bottom Feeder or Shrimp doesn’t just remove debris—it polishes the water while you vacuum.

Instead of disturbing fine material and relying on the pool’s filtration system to catch it later, the cartridge captures it immediately at the source. The result:

  • Less clouding during cleanup

  • Faster visible results

  • Clearer water when you’re finished

  • Reduced load on the customer’s filtration system

This is especially valuable on pools where fine dirt is the primary issue, or when you want the pool looking truly finished before you leave the job.

Built for Professional Use

The 20-Micron Cartridge Filter Assembly was engineered to meet the high-flow demands of Bottom Feeder and Shrimp systems. It delivers the surface area required for fine filtration while maintaining strong suction.

  • Installs easily

  • Cleans quickly

  • Designed for daily professional use

  • Switch between the cartridge filter and a standard vacuum bag in under 15 seconds

A Smart Upgrade to an Essential Tool

If the Bottom Feeder or Shrimp is already a core part of your route, this upgrade expands what those systems can do.

Heavy debris when you need it.
Fine-particle polishing when the job calls for it.

Don’t just vacuum the pool.
Finish it.
